Wireless Home Automation
Wireless home automation can be a real convenience for
most home owners. Being able to control the functions of your home from
a single remote control means never having to go from room to room in
order to turn lights on or off, adjust the temperature or turn on a
stereo. Centralized control is what home automation is all about.
Wireless home automation often includes surveillance cameras and security
alarms. Cameras can be monitored through the use of a computer, or in
some cases, the remote control itself. Alarms can be programmed to turn
on and off at predetermined times in order to make sure you home is
always protected when you’re away.
Intercoms are also a common feature of many wireless home automation
systems. The need to physically answer the door can be eliminated through
these systems, with cameras allowing you to see who’s there, and
two-way intercoms available for vocal communication. Doors can even
be unlocked without having to physically do it yourself.
